Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA)

At New Vision Hospice, our Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs) provide essential, hands-on support to patients receiving hospice care. Under the supervision of a registered nurse, our CHHAs assist with daily activities to ensure comfort, dignity, and well-being during this delicate stage of life.

What Our CHHAs Do:

Personal Care Assistance – Helping with bathing, dressing, grooming, and maintaining personal hygiene.
Mobility Support – Assisting with transfers, repositioning, and ambulation to enhance comfort and prevent complications.
Meal Preparation & Feeding Assistance – Ensuring patients receive nutritious meals that meet their needs.
Comfort & Companionship – Providing emotional support, companionship, and a reassuring presence.
Light Housekeeping – Assisting with basic tasks such as changing linens and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Observations & Reporting – Monitoring changes in condition and reporting concerns to the hospice nurse.

Our CHHAs are trained in compassionate end-of-life care and are dedicated to enhancing quality of life for both patients and their families. Their care helps ensure that loved ones can focus on spending meaningful time together while receiving professional, dignified support.
